Getting Admitted

International Students

 

Due to class scheduling restrictions, international student applications are only accepted for Fall semester admissions. The application deadline for international student applications is March 1. International student admission guidelines and the forms for international students are available on the UW Oshkosh Graduate School web site.

Admission to the MBA Program is based on many factors. Effective April 1, 2008 for all new applicants, MBA admissions will be evaluated holistically which includes reviewing many factors. All factors will be considered regardless of scores or level of academic achievement. You must submit all of the following application portfolio items by the application deadlines: Fall-June 1; Spring-Nov 1; Summer-April 1

  1. Application for Admission (online application).  If you are not a U.S. citizen, please complete the International Student Application materials. 

  2. Submit a non-refundable application fee of $45 payable to UW Oshkosh. (Graduate admission applications postmarked or electronically submitted on or after September 1, 2008 will be assessed a higher application fee of $56.) The application fee can be paid online by credit card during the application submission process.

  3. Official transcripts (undergraduate and graduate) sent directly to the Office of Graduate Studies, UW Oshkosh, 800 Algoma Blvd., Dempsey Hall Rm 337, Oshkosh, WI, 54901-8621.

  4. GRE or GMAT exam scores or equivalent* (GRE and GMAT information)

  5. Current professional resume (emailed to mba@uwosh.edu)

  6. A personal statement, single-spaced and no longer than two pages (Arial or Times New Roman typeface, no smaller than 11 point type with no less than 1-inch margins), emailed to mba@uwosh.edu, describing:
    1. Reasons for pursuing the MBA
    2. The impact it will have on both your short and long-term career goals
    3. What value you will bring to the classroom

After the evaluation of these documents, you will be contacted if further materials are required to complete your application portfolio. The MBA program has both full-standing and probationary admission. Once admitted, students may be required to fulfill additional programmatic conditions.

*About 15% of applicants are allowed to waive the GMAT/GRE exam with the completion of one of the following:

Member, Society of Actuaries
PE, Professional Engineer (test certification only)

PMP, Project Management Professional
QPA, Qualified Pension Administrator
