The College of Business MBA Program offers three graduate certificates: (No undergraduate course work will count toward the certificates.)

This certificate program of both online and onsite business Foundation courses is available for students who need the skills and knowledge of basic business functions. Foundation courses are designed to provide management background for students with non-business undergraduate degrees, ranging from science and engineering to social sciences, the humanities, and various other non-business undergraduate majors.
To fulfill the requirements of the Certificate, a student completes 12 graduate Foundation (Level I) credits. The completion of an undergraduate degree in any area is the minimum requirement to be eligible to take these courses.
Certificate Requirements
The MBA Certificate Program consists of 12 credits:
Required Courses:
- BUS 700 Accounting Foundations 3 cr.
- BUS 750 Organizational Foundations 1.5 cr.
- BUS 770 Marketing Foundations 1.5 cr.
And six credits from the following:
- BUS 710 Foundations of Information Systems 1.5 cr.
- BUS 712 Foundations of Statistics 3 cr.
- BUS 730 Finance Foundations 1.5 cr.
- BUS 740 Foundations of Production/Operations Management 1.5 cr.
- ECON 704 Basic Economic Theory 3 cr.
Minimum requirements to be accepted:
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.

- Where can I take courses for the Certificate? - All the Foundation courses are available at UW Oshkosh, online and in Green Bay.
- How frequently are Foundation courses offered? - Once per year in Oshkosh and Green Bay (except for ECON 704 which alternates between Oshkosh and Green Bay in spring semesters); and, every semester online (except for BUS 712 which is available in fall semesters only)
- Will these courses be accepted at UW Oshkosh if I should later apply to the MBA, MSIS for Global MBA Program? - Yes, the courses will be accepted as Foundation requirements for all three programs.
- How do I know what classes are being offered and how do I register for courses at UW Oshkosh, online, or in Green Bay? - You register with the MBA Program at UW Oshkosh as a Special Graduate Student. MBA Consortium Certificate
Four nationally accredited (AACSB International) University of Wisconsin System business programs (UW Eau Claire, UW La Crosse, UW Oshkosh, and UW Parkside) jointly offer MBA foundation coursework via the Internet. This unique program of online business foundation courses is available as a certificate program for students who need the skills and knowledge of basic business functions. To fulfill the requirements of the Certificate Program, a student must complete 13 graduate credits as listed below. The completion of an undergraduate degree in any area is the minimum requirement to join the Certificate Program.

- MKTG 730 Marketing Analysis Foundation (2 cr) (UW Oshkosh BUS 770)

Elective Courses (6 credits from the following are required):

FAQs
- Do all the classes for the Certificate have to be taken from the MBA Consortium online classes? - No. You can transfer up to 6 graduate credits from an AACSB-accredited graduate business program. This Certificate is awarded solely for graduate-level coursework.
- How can I
keep track of my progress?
Just print a copy of the Worksheet file and enter each course as it is completed. - How often are the MBA Consortium
classes offered?
Each class is available every semester (fall and spring) and generally two or three classes will be available in summer. The only exception is statistics, which is available fall semesters only. - Will these courses be accepted
by an MBA program should I decide to apply at some time
in the future?
Most likely, but it is always a good idea to check with the program you are planning to apply to. All MBA Consortium Certificate courses will be accepted by the MBA, MSIS, and Global MBA Programs at UW Oshkosh. - Is there a time limit for completing

Kimberly-Clark Certificate (K-C employees only)
Kimberly-Clark and the College of Business at UW Oshkosh have developed a certificate program consisting of MBA Foundation courses. This Certificate Program provides recognition for the completion of these courses. Courses taken within the Certificate Program can also be used to meet a professional development goal or as a stepping stone to the UW Oshkosh MBA or MSIS Programs. Only Kimberly-Clark employees are eligible for this Certificate.

- Do I have to take all the classes for the Certificate at K-C? - No, taking all classes at K-C is not required. Although the philosophy of the Certificate Program is to provide an opportunity for K-C employees to take the Certificate classes on-site with colleagues and with course content modified somewhat to reflect K-C issues and operations, courses taken at either K-C or UW Oshkosh (onsite, online, or in Green Bay) will count toward the Certificate.
- Will all courses be offered at K-C, and how frequently? - Yes, all courses will be offered at K-C; the required courses are available once per year and the electives generally every other year, depending on demand.
- Will these courses be accepted at UW Oshkosh if I should later apply to the MBA, MSIS, or Global MBA Program? - Yes, the courses will be accepted as foundation requirements for either program.
- How will I be notified about the courses taught at K-C? - K-C internal email or a desktop memo will notify employees of the offerings in time for registration, usually about six weeks before classes begin.
- How do I register for courses taught at K-C? - UW Oshkosh and K-C staff members will hold registration on site about a month before classes begin on the K-C campus.
- How do I know what classes are being offered and how do I register for courses at UW Oshkosh, online, or in Green Bay? - You register with the MBA Program at UW Oshkosh as a Special Graduate Student.
