MBA Curriculum
MBA Emphases
Characteristics of the emphases include:
- Emphases are optional.
- They will consist of
nine elective credits. A student taking an emphasis will need to take three
credits beyond the 30-33 credit MBA Program graduation requirement
since there are only six elective credits required for the
MBA degree.
- The nine credits of electives
comprising an emphasis will be offered in a three year period
of time in Oshkosh, in Green Bay, or online in order to
satisfy student needs for timely offerings. It is therefore
likely a student will have to combine locations in order
to complete courses for an emphasis. The only exception
to this is the Health Care emphasis -- all Health Care courses
are available on Saturdays at UW Oshkosh.
- The UW Oshkosh MBA Program
collaborates with three AACSB accredited MBA programs in
the UW System: UW Eau Claire, UW LaCrosse, and UW Parkside. UW Oshkosh shares electives among the four programs,
and students may take electives from these programs.
- The emphasis in Health
Care Management was developed in cooperation with the UW
Oshkosh Masters in Public Administration Program.
- All courses that can be applied to an emphasis are noted
with "Eligible for the
XXX Emphasis" on each semester's Registration
Information website. The respective semester's classes can
be viewed by selecting the appropriate semester from the
left menu on this page.
- An emphasis will be recognized on the student's transcript.
- Emphases can be completed either before or after graduation.
